This is a short video of about 7 minutes riding into Ames. Look for the 5 min mark when a beautiful cliff face comes into view, if anyone knows the name I would appreciate you telling me. The video does not do the scenery justice. We also got lucky with the weather. (This is unedited raw footage) We had left Durango heading towards Cortez on the way to Four Corners Monument, having shrugged off the Million Dollar Highway ride due to safety reasons. Not too far into the trip I decided to take the risk, and was I happy that I changed my mind. Not many people ride in the winter, so the opportunity to ride at this time of year and have the conditions we had, was incredible. It gives such a different prospective of the country side, now to come back in the summer and do it all over again.
One regret was that we went around the loop once, clockwise. I wish we had the time to do it counter clockwise as well.
