AboutKoi brings you along to the Hasegawa Koi Farm, a specialist in Kohaku variety. Everything you can find in this Koi House is so crystal clear white with perfect red coloured patterns on the body. Hasegawa is only a relative small Koi Farm based in Niigata, Japan. It however produced quite an high amount of very high quality Kohaku. The breeder develops best in class Kohaku and a few Showa. Hasegawa makes use of the Tomoin Kohaku bloodline, which are the most important parent Koi of his farm. Together with ‘Manzo’ Kohaku, which he used for the strong body posture. In the past Hasegawa even delivered parent Koi to nowadays famous Koi breeders such as the Dainichi Koi Farm and Hoshikin.
The Koi houses of Hasegawa are quite small, still he has an enormous amount of Kohaku in his farm. He even makes use of the basement of his own living house as living place during the winter period for his Nisai Kohaku and Showa.
