Oh, The Irony: Why Remembering It’s Okay To Feel Bad Can Make You Feel Just Fine Remember that it's okay to feel like sh!t. It doesn't mean that you have to indulge in it or act on it. That acceptance of whatever it is that you're feeling in life, it doesn't have to dictate your actions. That's the most important thing. Also, how you are feeling doesn't have to dictate how you act toward other people. It's such an irony when we don't need ourselves or other people to be different is when they will act differently and we will shift out of the things that don't work for us. When you are demanding that something must change, all you are saying is that you are not okay and that is not helping anyone. That is not the way to move through whatever you are feeling. What we resists, persists. Simply allow yourself to be where you are at and feel what you are feeling, that doesn't mean expressing it or acting on it, just allow it to be. The fastest way to allow others in your life to shift out of anything that is not serving them is to be okay that they are where they are. It will make all the difference if you give it a shot. The only real way out is through and the tunnel is not as long as it looks.
